I took REG on August 30th and failed. I started studying again for it when I found out I failed (September 9th) but was in process of moving so didn’t get serious about it until September 14th.

I have re-written all the notes from the book (which I didn’t do the first time around) for all the tax sections (because I was weak on tax and good at business law)

I just started doing the MC for R3. I am trying to decide if I should schedule for Oct 8th or Oct 15th. Which one would you suggest? Should I give myself extra time to study all the stuff and risk forgetting info or cram and try it take it sooner?

I think you will be ready to go by Oct 8 as long as you keep working at it from now until then with a good schedule. 2nd time will be the charm, don't worry about it. Just put the work in and you will be fine. Get it done early in the month and schedule another exam in late Nov. That's what I am trying to do with AUD and BEC and hopefully I will be done by Thanksgiving!!! Good luck!

    FAR - 81
    REG - 75
    AUD - 85
    BEC - 79

Thank goodness it's over... Now on to the next step...

I actually just scheduled for October 15th. Didn't want to stress myself out taking it too early but didn't want the test centers to fill up for each of those Mondays and me not sign up. I will be taking Audit toward the end of November. Do you think a month and a half is enough time if working 8 hours a day?

I took AUD first and passed with 6 weeks of studying. Passed FAR after 6 weeks and REG after 8 weeks while taking a tax class to finish up my licensing requirements. Only had 3.5 weeks to study for BEC before the window closed so I took a shot at it to see if I could pass. Came up short on that one but it was worth a try.

All that being said, 6 weeks is plenty of time if you are able to get in good quality study time.

    AUD 4/12/12 79
    FAR 5/29/12 76
    REG 8/2/12 82
    BEC 8/30/12 72 Retake 10/18/12 76!!! DONE!!!!
