Say what? The testing window extended because of a hurricane?

That will delay us getting our grades right? Dang it.

I mean living in LA, they deserve what they get. Why should I suffer and have to wait longer?

I’ve suffered through death, a broken molar, a crown that broke, job changes, etc. etc. etc.

If the LA candidates can’t take their test in ankle deep water, they don’t deserve to be CPA’s! Maybe NASBA is afraid someone will write answers on their life preserver rings.

Grrrrr, just something else to have to wait on! 😀

They extended in certain area last year for Irene too. Jeff seems pretty confident that everybody who tests in August will get their grades on time.

Edited to be nice and remove over the top nastiness on my part that was meant in jest!

For those other humorless out there, my post was meant completely in jest. 😀

I would rather wait weeks, months, even YEARS to get a dumb score back if someone would tell me that all the people in danger zones will be safe. I don't see how the extension of this window is a bad thing. As far as waiting for scores, in the beginning of last year, people had to wait months before getting their score back. Now we get them within weeks and people complain? Plus, the window extension also shows that the AICPA actually cares about the safety of candidates. NOT only that, but the window got extended for everyone, not just people in danger areas. If I hadn't rescheduled my test this window for 8+ times already, I would've rescheduled for next week.

Yeah but this isn't the time for jesting about another potentially life threatening storm. Just sayin'

@jenuno – They extended in non-danger areas as well? Even the West Coast? Seems a bit odd.

I'm from GA making fun of LA is a passtime around here…and they really do deserve it. 😀 It's an SEC thing.

Own system of laws, their own semblance of a language down there, nothing but swamps and cities built below sea level!

To those in LA, I am just kidding. I really hope you guys fare well in this hurricane.

Why couldn't have Issac gone more east? I'm in FL and not ready for Aud tomorrow. And for those without humor, I am kidding. Happy that my family is safe and sound – but I'm really not ready for Aud.

I didn't think this was funny and I consider myself a pretty humurous guy. I mean I've been demolishing the term napuela on here for months now, and still chuckle when I use it.

@Mini – yeah, I just checked Prometric in Iowa and Nebraska, and there are slots open next week.

@NewDad, check your Prometric. The window is extended in Nebraska, so I'm assuming they extended it all over the U.S.

I'll bet I could poll the people of GA and the odds of > .001% of people who think its funny to say the people of LA “deserving” this disaster are lower than the odds of the AICPA overturning a score.

That said it doesn't seem to make sense that anybody anywhere can cash in on the extended window. Most of the people affected aren't going to have the luxury of studying over the next few days.

Hey if nothing else, maybe the power will blink and Prometric will actually be forced to reboot their computers for the first time this year!

    Now that was darned funny!

I need not remind you that LA people hold hurricane parties to welcome in storms. In the immortal words of that guy who played the drill Seargent in Strips, Lighten up napuela. 😀
