Same similuation on retake?

I am studying for my REG retake at the end of February. I’ve been wondering what the chances are I might get one of the same simulations on my retake that I received in my original exam in the last testing window (Dec’13). I realize that everything is fair game on my retake and that every test is different. I am just curious if anybody has encountered the same Simulation on their retake of an exam. Without disclosing content, have you ever gotten the same SIM on multiple tries of an exam?

    AUD - 84 - 7/19/2013
    BEC - 75 - 8/29/2013
    FAR - 81 - 10/28/2013
    REG - 72 - Retake - 85! I'm DONE!!!

When I retook FAR, that happened, a SIM that I know I screwed up on the first time, I saw again on the second try. This time I knew exactly what to do, and passed.

    I took REG in Feb.

Last time in Oct I had a SIM that I royally messed up. I had a bad feeling I may see it again and I did. It was not the exact same SIM but it was on the same concept. I was able to do the SIM where I feel I got most of it right.

I am glad I made sure I understood what the right answer was as both Wiley and Becker don't go into depth on that topic.

    Good Luck!

If you know the pattern of how they test things, you'll know when what SIM is being tested. It's the exact SIM but different numbers/wording. Of course, they won't repeat all the same SIMS in the same order, at the same time, but there are several that appear in patterns, before being permanently retired.

    CPA - Since 2015
    CISA - Smashed 2012
    CIA - Passed 2015

My fifth attempt at Audit had the exact same sims from my first or second attempt (can't remember, there were so many, lol).

Thanks everybody! I appreciate the input!

I also feel like I really messed up on a few simulations on my first go around (hence my failing score) so I made sure I fully grasped those concepts in case I see a similar simulation on my next try. I know I may not be that lucky. But if nothing else, at least I'll be more prepared for MCQ's on those topics!
