Hey guys, I have gotten some really good advice over the last couple months and wanted to run something by you guys. I recently took a full time job staring at spreadsheets all day at a big bank. Before I was just bartending and doing taxes on a per diem basis.. I am taking REG at the end of May and have gotten through the first 3 lectures in Becker. Not too bad, just lots of percentages.. But since I have an 8 to 5 now, I have a lot less free time to hit the books. What kind of schedule do you guys working FT use and what are the biggest lectures to focus on with Becker. I really have no other responsibilities besides studying and going to work, as my GF dumped me because I spent to much time on FAR.. But I passed so I guess its a push.. Thanks.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 93
    REG - 76

I suggest you “Famous ELL plan” for those who are working full time. Its in the right side of this page as CPA review study planner.

    Good luck.

I can't concentrate during lunch so I put all my time in at night. So right now I get up at 7, shower/get ready for work, work at 8:30, out of work at 5:30 the earliest then go home. By the time I'm home and done with dinner it's usually 7:30, then study until 10:30-11. I give myself a half hour before bed to relax, then repeat the next day.

It sucks, but you just have to push yourself to fit it in.

Trying to get an hour of studying before work and an hour during lunch helps a lot and you already have 2 hours knocked out for the day. Then 2 hours at night, for a total of 4 hours a day.

I definitely agree with the “ELL” plan – it has been very helpful for me. I feel like it helps keep the info fresh as there isn't a 20 hour or so lag between study times. 🙂
