I just got back my regulations results and got a 62. I studied for a month. I want to know how to study for the retake. How long and what I should I do. Should I reread the material or just focus on mc questions. I want to retake regulations in mid June and move on to auditing by August. Can someone help?

I got a 74 on REG so I am in the same boat as you…have to re-take it.

First, the testing window in not open in June so the earliest you could take the test is July.

Second, it was suggested to me yesterday to focus on the MCQ and teach yourself what you do not know. Look up in the book the material for questions that you do not know or understand. Jeff's Ninja notes are really good and I plan to use them more next time.

I studied for 2.5 months the last time but I know I was distracted by other things going on in my life so I did not apply myself as much as I should have. I blame myself for not passing. I plan to take the test again in the middle to end of July, depending on seating availability.

I fot a 74 first time studying three weeks. For the retake I re-studied everything again (except I didn't watch the lectures in the Becker course). I had voluminous notes from my first round so I used those.

I would suggest going over everything again without skipping any sections. When you re-study, the stuff you know will go much faster so you will know what to focus on.

with 62 you have to start from page 1 and redo everything as if you never saw the material. let us know what you did to prepare and whether you work FT
