I took REG on December 5th and scored a 72. How many hours would you recommend studying for the retake?

I'm in the same boat, unfortunately. I took REG on 12/5 and also got a 72. 🙁

Since this is my first “re-take”, I'm also curious as to how I should approach my study plan. Should I start over like it's the first time I'm seeing the material or should I just practice MCQs and focus on my weaker areas (which are also Taxation on Individuals and Taxation on Entities – Simulations)? I've got to say that I felt several of my SIMS were very vague and confusing. I guess I got a bad draw. 🙁

Does anybody that's been through this before have any tips on retaking REG?

    AUD - 84 - 7/19/2013
    BEC - 75 - 8/29/2013
    FAR - 81 - 10/28/2013
    REG - 72 - Retake - 85! I'm DONE!!!

    Ethics - 96%

You need to study for a retake as if you never took the exam before. Remember, you're not trying to get 3 more points, you're trying to get 75 more points.

Besides, the next exam you see will be completely different than the one you already saw.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

    mla1169 – I agree.

Most people take at least 3.5 to 5 weeks to restudy the REG material from top to bottom and then take the exam again.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !
