If you work at a job and are required to be around 24/7 so the employer requires you to live on location can you deduct your rent and how much?

If the employer pays for your onsite housing, and it's for the convenience of the employer, the value of the housing is not included in income.

If you pay for the housing, and it's not your home (you're living elsewhere but are paying for a hotel / living quarters to be near your job), I'd guess it's an employee expense, deductible over 2% AGI.
