Reg is my last exam and the only exam I have had to retake. After diligently studying my heart out trying to cram everything in my head for the second time, test day arrived. The multiple choice went really well. In fact, I told myself “You got this” as I finished the last testlet of the multiple choice. The feeling I had passed quickly left me as I reviewed the simulations.

The material covered in the simulations were briefly covered or not covered at all in my Becker material. I am a little frustrated and I am hoping to get a response to the following questions:

1 – Did anyone else feel like the simulations are ridiculous?

2 – Has anyone felt like they failed the simulation section but still passed?

3 – Is partial credit given for questions wanting a single calculation. For example..if a simulation asks me to calculate the total amount that can be taken for charitable contributions and I add something I shouldn’t have do I miss the entire simulation?

4 – Is anyone supplementing the Becker course for Regulation? If so, what are you using?

I've been in a state of depression for the last 36 hours after taking REG and feeling the exact same way – MCQs felt good, sims were completely out of left field. Tons of straight up guessing. So glad to hear there may be some hope. And @Hut-Hut – what a great piece of advice to have if I do have to re-take.

@dmbrenner I also took REG yesterday and had the EXACT SAME experience!!! The SIMS destroyed me, I was 100% confident (well I knew I did ok … for sure went Med-Hard-Hard) finishing my 3rd testlet and felt destroyed after the 4th. Hopefully we can have the same luck as Scott from above.

I took REG last Friday, and I have to agree.. the SIMS were insane. Glad to hear it wasn't just me. Felt confident on the MCQ's but was blown out of the water with the SIMS. Sending everyone good vibes and hoping that we have some luck coming our way! I definitely need it after those crazytown SIMS.

And it looks like @NVCPA from above had the same result – passing score (congrats!!) despite feeling destroyed by the sims!! Encouraging for those of you who are doubting!!

This is a helpful thread…I feel like I got destroyed today by the sims and I don't want to take reg a 3rd time….
