BEC is out. Hopefully it is not too much longer for us! Sadly, REG always seems to be last :-/

Sat for the exam yesterday (7/27). I feel good and bad about it at the same time. I felt I knew the material that was being asked for the multiple choices and the first simulation. The second simulation was INSANE! Not in difficulty, because I did a really good job at learning the material. I knew how to do what was being asked but it was way too long. I went into the second simulation with 45 minutes on the clock and I still didn't finish. I knew I had a problem as soon as it popped up on the screen and their were nine tabs. NINE tabs! I clearly can't say what the sims were about, but the information in the first two tabs were just for the “situation.” It was convoluted and and just insane and the entire simulation dealt with the information from the situation. Needless to say, with the exception of the communication (which I think I did really awesome on). That simulation was shot…. Dear God, I just hope I passed!

    Rash–

I took the REG exam the same day as you. I think I may have had that insane simulation too. Just curious, did you have to complete a seriously obscure IRS form that you most likely never saw and will never see again?

I started that simulation with 1 hour and 32 minutes to go. You would think it was plenty of time. Wrong. I started my second with 29 minutes. Luckily it was a million times easier and I think I did decent on it.

Hey Jason, I'm referring to Chapter 7 (CPA's and the Law) in Becker. GCaulfie, uhm I definitely did have to fill out an IRS form, but I can't say it was obscure only because the prep course I used absolutely covered it. My problem with the sim wasn't that I didn't know what to do, it was that I didn't have time to do it 🙁

Hey all quick question; if we took the exam in July, is there any chance of getting our score before the release in September? When I took FAR it was at the very end of May so I didn't have to wait that long but it's going to be tough if the wait is a month and a half this time around :/

    Hey David,

I think we're going to be in the August score release.

Rash Gotcha, I will check that chapter out some more tonight, thanks. And yes you are in August score release as I will be, any one that takes it before august 6th will be. The exception is if your given a brand new simulation which you obviously cannot control.

Any ideas when the first wave release will be Jason? I tested almost 3 weeks ago now, July 12th.

    AUD - PASSED
    REG - PASSED
    BEC - PASSED
    FAR - WAITING!!!

    Patrick,

It doesn't matter when you tested unfortunately there are two waves. the two months in this wave are July and August. If you take the exam any time during July or before August 6th like I am doing, we all receive them at the same time (wave 1). the rest of August is wave 2 and gets their scores in September.

According to Jeff's predictions reg will be released August 24th. But keep in mind Reg is last in line so we have to wait for bec, then audit then far to be released before we can expect reg. You got a lot more waiting to do lol!

Also if you happen to get a new simulation which there is no way of knowing, then you automatically get your score in September!!

The waiting process is such a sham. I took my exam on 7/2, and might possibly wait til September….

Also keep in mind that the wave 1 cutoff is sometimes later than the 6th or 7th. I took my FAR exam on the 10th of the second month in the testing window and it was in the wave 1 release still.

    FAR: 78 BEC: 79 REG: 86 AUD: 74, 83 DONE!!!

    Jason,

Where did you see the Aug 24th prediction? I took the exam July 1st to try and get it over with asap, however waiting 7 weeks to get my score is killing me.

    Thanks.

@POTFB, Jeff posted it on the main site, as well as on a sticky at the top of the forums. I took it on the 2nd, so I know how it feels.

    Rash,

I'm no expert but I wouldn't lose a ton of sleep over the 2nd simulation. I had a similar situation on the FAR exam and left the 2nd simulation half blank because I ran out of time yet I still scored in the 90's. Makes me think that the entire 2nd simulation may have been experimental.

Again, I'm no expert and good luck.

Chuy55, thanks for the encouragement. I hope my situation is similar to your FAR experience.
