BEC is out. Hopefully it is not too much longer for us! Sadly, REG always seems to be last :-/

I'm using Becker 2009 and I have looked at all the updates on the web, but I'm still confused about what's going on with the estate tax for 2010. I mean, I know the law and what's going on with that. My question is – what's on the test? Are they just going to not test on it for now since it doesn't exist? Stage estate tax ?s in 2011 when it comes back?

Pluto – They may test on general concepts on Estate tax and not calculations. If you did Becker and ran through all the updates, you should be fine.

Anyone care about Wave 1 results? REG is my last one and curious to know when it's expected to release.

    @Pluto,

Yes, we can be tested on estate tax even thought there is none in 2010. We are generally being tested on FY2009 tax anyway. My instructor said they left the frame in the code, which is why we can still be tested on it – it will be back in 2011.

Jeff do you think AICPA will release something today?

    Jeff,

I saw you updated your predictions for a Thursday, REG release. Is this based on new information that has come to your attention? Or just based on the pattern of releases every other day? Also, is the prediction for a AICPA or NASBA release on Thursday?

I don't think I can wait until Friday to receive my NASBA score.

Same here… and I don't know how to feel about it… Nervous I guess 🙁

I am half way there and need to start study for BEC but I just want to know my REG scores in case I have to take it again.

    Is this your last exam?

If all goes well and I get a passing score on REG, BEC will be my last section to take. Will BEC be your last?

If I pass REG 🙂 I am hoping that I did. My first section starts to expire May 2011 (right after tax season)

I need to pass all sections before February

My FAR/REG predictions are based on nothing more than my gut feel.

I think we'll see FAR Tuesday via AICPA and REG Thursday via AICPA, which means Wed/Friday NASBA release respectively.

Alternate scenarios: REG is before FAR and/or instead of Tues/Thursday it's Monday/Wednesday for AICPA.

Bottom line: I think everyone should have their score by Friday night unless they live in a state that doesn't release via NASBA and is slowwww.

Just be thankful Anna you don't live in a snailmail state. Last window I waited and waited and waited and eventually had to ask that the scores be re-mailed after 8 weeks of being in a holding pattern.
