I’ve been utilizing Becker for review materials; Becker has been great so far. From start to finish on Audit, it took me 6 weeks to study and pass. I really did not apply myself to FAR (did no homework) so my first score I don’t really consider it. I’ve been preparing for REG, and I took my first practise exam last night (right after work with no review) and did pretty bad:( I got right around half the MC right in each testlet, and the Sim’s I actually did not do that bad. After going back through the exam, I realized that I need a good solid review since most of the questions I did get wrong, I know. Needless to say, I’m pretty nervouse about this exam, but I’m glad I went through the ropes of a simulated exam. My REG exam is this Thursday, so I’ll certainly be focuing on tax tonight; this is where most of my questions fell on the practise exam. Has anyone performed poorly on practise exam, but nailed the real exam?

I read from previous posts that it's possible to have real test score 10-20 higher than becker final (practice) exam score. To me, my FAR test score is about 10 points higher that Becker practice exam, and my BEC test score is about 5 points higher than Becker practice. I will definitely agree that Becker practice exam has more difficult MCQs. Good luck!

    FAR 86 (11/21/09), BEC 88 (1/06/10), REG 90 (3/7/10), AUD 93 (5/9/10) I am done!!!

I passed BEC and AUD on my first try but failed both Becker final exams for each topic outright. Wasn't even close.

I feel that the final exams are made up of obscure questions and many answers are the exception to the rule. I think on the real exam you do get these questions but not nearly as many.

To me, REG is the most difficult one – a lot to memorize. I'd suggest you to use more than one materials (i.e. other Becker). Use other as a supplement. I used Wiley, Gleim and Becker for REG. I passed.

I felt I did enough to get a 73-78 coming out of the actual REG test and got a 97. On the Becker final exams I scored in the 65-70 range.

If you are at/around the 50% mark focus your study on the areas where you are missing. I did a quick run through most of the tax stuff my last week of studying since it had been 2 weeks since I had seen any of the Becker tax lectures. It came back pretty quickly.

If you need some new study material for this last week, Jeff's REG notes for the $20 1 month membership are awesome.
