so i am taking REG again (second time) at the end of this window. I only have two windows left after this one before I would loose credit for my first pass (FAR), and I just dont think i can do FAR again (talk about motivation). I am trying to prepare myself for IF the worst happens and I fail Reg again, How hard would it be to study for and pass BEC with only 4 to 5 weks of study time?

I ask because if I do fail Reg again, I am thinking I might try to go ahead and get BEC knocked out early in the next window, and then use the last part of the next window and if need be the last window for two more attempts at REG. I hate Reg, FAR and Aud just didn’t give me the trouble that tax law does. Tax just doesn’t click for me, too many exceptions…

I think that BEC in 4-5 weeks is very possible. I have an MBA, and for me, about 80% of the material in BEC was covered in one of my MBA classes. I studied for BEC while laying on the beach in Hawaii (not the most focused study environment), and still managed to get an 88. So, depending on your background, it may be a little easier for you.

    FAR 12/3/14, 87
    AUD 2/3/14, 90
    BEC 4/1/14, 88
    REG 5/27/14, 94

I agree with Lindrobe, but I also have an B.S. in Business and an MBA. While the test did have some curve balls of material I didn't see in my review, it was mostly on topics (ratios, economics, some AUD info, IT concepts, etc) that I covered in my business program. However, I got my MBA in 2004 and still didn't have much trouble passing BEC in 2013. I did it solely with Kaplan–watched all the videos, read the entire book, and answered all the Kaplan Qbank MCQ at least once. It was a lot of memorization so if that's a strong skill for you and you can write coherent paragraphs then you shouldn't have too many problems studying for it in 4-5 weeks.
