REG vs. AUD

Hey everyone, I start working in public next week (first position out of school). I passed FAR and BEC in this past testing window, and I would like to get AUD and REG done in this coming window in the fall (if possible). My question is should I take REG and then AUD, or AUD and then REG last? From what I hear REG is much more math intensive, and AUD is more theoretical. I figured AUD would be easier to study for as I am adjusting to a new job/lifestyle.

Any thoughts or input is greatly appreciated!

In your case, it's better to start with AUD before you forget GAAP which you studied for FAR.

And yes, REG is harder to study for.

    FAR: 81 (May 2013)
    BEC: 81 (July 2013)
    REG: 83 (August 2013)
    AUD: 82 (November 2013)
    California CPA since 1/30/14

Are you a tax person or audit person? I'm a tax person and found REG easier to study for. On the one hand, I'd say take the exam that correlates with your area of focus first since it will make for an easier transition. On the other hand, saving the exam not correlated with your area of focus for last may not be a great idea. I'm taking AUD last and am regretting it, because I have lost some motivation and I'm more interested in tax. I've heard other people on the forum say the same thing.
