REG Tricky Areas / Potential SIMS Advice

    Hey All –

    My exam is in two days, and it’s (hopefully) my last exam before I get my life back for the first time in over a year : )

    I have pounded the MCQ for REG from Becker over and over again, and in my final review I want to make sure to spend extra time studying tricky areas that could pop up in a MCQ or even coming up with a list of areas that could be potential SIMS.

    Can anyone studying for the exam share what they consider “tricky” areas I might want to focus on or areas that might be large enough to warrant a SIM?

    My list so far is as follows –

    AMT

    Partnership Contributions/Distributions

    Corporate Contributions/Distributions

    Like Kind Exchanges

    Dividend Received Deduction

    I don't think anyone can tell you what to focus for the SIMs except they will be tax chapters.

    All I can say is don't assume only some topics can be a SIM. Trust me learn your

    Concepts well and don't even leave small tax topics. They have come up as a full

    Sim.

    Know your concepts well and know even the small details. Good

    REG - 87
    BEC - 84!!!!
    AUD - 99!!!!!! CPA exam complete.

    CPA EXAM: DONE!!!!
    Ethics Course: Passed
    Application Mailed: 3/16/15
    Professional Conduct Exam: 97
    Certification Date: 4/2/15!!!
