Give me a chance to explain my situation before you start bashing me and telling me there is no chance of passing. I know this.

My NTS is expiring for AUD and REG on May 5th. I have been actively studying for AUD in preparation for my test on May 5th. On the otherhand I have not studied at all for REG becasue I didn’t want to half-ass my AUD preparation.

My plan is to sit for REG tomorrow with the intent of getting an idea of the test and main topics so I am better prepared for my retake in the summer. I feel it is better to at least sit for the exam and gain experience then it is to let my NTS expire without even attempting the exam. With that being said, I feel as I can’t be the first person who has done this. There have to be other people who have been in the same situation and these are the people I direct this post towards.

What did you do the day before the test? Should I review for REG at all or should I just keep studying for AUD?

Any tips/advice will be appreciated. Thank you.

If the guy was just another Accountant, I wouldn’t believe a word, but he is pretty smart, so I don’t know. He does make around 240K (seen his w2), but I still have my doubts.

Wow, that story gave me a chuckle. Honestly, don't believe a word that guy says. He sounds like a name dropper and probably tells everyone how expensive everything he bought was.

exam fee is a sunk cost at this point, may as well get something out of it. I agree with all others though, I wouldn't actually prepare for it, it would have been much easier if your AUD exam was first, wouldn't have to risk cluttering up your head and you could take a 24 hour kamakazi study attempt. As is, best move is to go in blind and do your best.

    MBA,CMA,CPA, CFF?, ABV?

Why waste $200 to take a test and fail?

this happened to me one time. Aud was expiring but I was focused on something else. So instead of paying a cancellation fee, I just decided not show up and save 4 hours of my life.

    FAR: 63, 55, 62
    REG: 65, 77*
    AUD: Fail, 64, 71
    BEC: 72, 74, 81

    *expired
