Hello,

I’m Using Becker and Ninja and understand the basic requirements of being a tax preparer but still have a couple questions:

1. Can a tax preparer be a foreigner?
2. Can the compensation be something other than cash, like something “legally sufficient”?

I believe that cash can be substituted for something else as compensation. TRP would recognize it at FMV. Not sure about the foreigner question. They have to register to be qualified but Wiley was mum about residency requirements.
