So I’ve been through all of the Wiley book, Yaeger lectures, MCQs, Ninja Notes, etc. I’m surprised the topic of tax planning wasn’t hit harder. I was reading through the REG CSO and they list it as a testable topic. Obviously you want to minimize tax liability and so forth, but I guess after having gone through studying that it wasn’t a larger (or any) emphasis. I mean c’mon, we get 50 pages on Commercial Paper but where are the planning concepts? Aren’t we supposed to be CPAs and be able to offer such advice? Just surprised I guess. Am I missing something here?
