    Hello Everyone,

What would be your advice on how to study for REG? I’m using Wiley. I’m watching the videos and reading chapters, but I’m still having a hard time answering the MCQ questions. REG is very foreign to me. Is it something that starts clicking eventually? Is it normal to feel this way and not getting the MCQ right? Is doing a tons of MCQ a solution to my problem? I’m trying to read and understand the answers but I’m not sure how much of it actually stays in my head.

I was in the same boat – used Wiley and had zero experience with most of the REG concepts going into it. All of a sudden, I couldn't use work experience (AUD) or accounting/economic logic (FAR/BEC) to reason my way to the right answer. The term “security interest” will probably always make me dizzy.

I ended up posting quite a bit on the Wiley mentoring forums. It got to the point that Prof Jennings began pointing out similarities in the areas I seemed to be having trouble with based on all my questions. She was very responsive and helpful throughout.

Doing tons of MCQs always helps, but at least for me, I also needed clarification that I was comprehending some of the concepts correctly. If you find it helpful, definitely make use of the forums (both Wiley and Ninja). I'm also told there are several YouTubers (don't recall specific names) that do a good job explaining REG concepts.

You'll get there eventually, it will just require some extra time.

@PC, thank you for your response. I really appreciate that. It’s good to know that I’m not alone who feels this way. I’ll look into the items that you recommended. Congratulations on passing the exam!
