I have one week until my Reg Exam. Taking it October 1st. I am not doing so well on the questions, I watched the Becker lectures, wrote notes, I wrote the Blitz notes, I listened to audio, I watched Blitz videos, I read my notes, I take notes on questions I get wrong. I still get 65%-70% on the Becker progress test questions. So annoying! Any pointers for my last week? I also haven’t done any Sims. I took Reg a year ago and got a 68%.

Also, I have outdated Becker material- I think its for beginning of year, but I know all the updates except for the Payment of 110% of the prior year’s tax liab==> is it usually 100%, and then 110% when taxpayer’s AGI exceeds $150,000 from the prior year?

Try to identify which sections you are performing poorly on. The progress tests should tell you which chapters you should review again. I strongly recommend just hitting the tax chapters hard. Becker has a bunch of silly mnemonics for business law but you'll see the bulk of REG is tax so don't spend time trying to memorize all of them. Watch the lectures again if you can find time. Corp tax and individual taxes are huge but so important.

General rule is to NOT remember thresholds limits (they are usually provided in the question).

I”m in the same boat. Taking REG on October 1. I have purchased 2 review courses (including Becker) and Ninja. I am still struggling. It's too much memorization, and this is not my area of expertise. I'm just trying to do as many questions as possible before the exam and pray for the best. Last time I took this exam was maybe 2 years ago and I think I had a 55. Granted, I did not study as much at that time, but I feel about as lost with some of this stuff as I did when I started 2 months ago. 🙁 The other sections were easy compared to this.
