@demarcon- He does a great job at breaking down problems and answering them with journal entries. If you're comfortable with most journal entries and t accounts, the answers will fall in your lap once you set them up. He has some great mnemonics too, especially for government.

@aatoural- Did you get your score report? If you were weaker on sims I would say Gleim. It's a lot more expensive than Ninja, but their sims are more like what you would see on the exam. If you contact them maybe they'll honor their Cyber Monday deal. Ninja's mcq's are more like what you'd see on the exam. Gleim's are way over the top and get into too much detail.

Are you allowed to pick when to use a NOL carryback? For instance do you have to use in the 2nd prior year or can you choose to use it in the previous year if it is more advantageous to use it then?

@namstut I'm not completely ruling out a pass it's just extremely unlikely. Mcqs didn't seem to go as smoothly as they typically have for REG and the Sims … Let's just say they never cease to amaze me

@dtatham10- You're reaction is the same as every other person coming out of an exam lol. I'm sure you did fine. Just think that if there's stuff on the exam you haven't seen, then the majority of people taking it are in the same boat.

Do you feel like Gleim prepared you any better for the sims or was it pointless to even buy it?

@re2pect that's a good point. Gleim helped there's no doubt about it. It helped with 1 sim big time and helped reinforce concepts that were tested in the mcqs. All in all it helped but the Sims werent as similar as others have said. Might have just got unlucky there. I don't regret buying it

@R_F_94, If you choose to carry back the NOL, you must first carry the entire NOL to the earliest carryback year. If your NOL is not used up, you can carry the rest to the next earliest carryback year, and so on.

I had my exam today and I am sure I will have to retake it in January 🙁 I was getting ready only for 3 weeks and it was not enough. I saw one topic here on forum where somebody was ready to share GLEIM sims, I think i need it now 🙁
