I think this is voidable , not voidcontract since its license to raise money!
And Samm already performed the work .So he deserves the whole dollar amount. It's not rigid contract type.

    Hi Claudia,

Yea biz law is super fun!

The amount may still be owed to the vendor because the law is in place “merely to raise revenue”. If the description of the statue had said something to the effect that it was there to provide assurance regarding the capability of the vendor then the contract would be null and void.

@vorobjeva44, I ran out of time and only had 30 min for SIMs but I think if I had an hour I would be fine.

    Good luck tomorrow!

sorry, we can't disclose what was on the test.

All I can say is study everything, and those blaw would be easy points to get and painful to lose. 😉

So how long did everyone who passed FAR study? It looks like I'll have about 9 weeks to study after I move into my house. Wondering if that's enough.

@demarcon I did 12 weeks a chapter a week and 2 weeks review through Becker. I'm sure there are areas you can shorten up your studying or you may have more time to study per week so I would say it's doable.

Random question that always screws with me. Jury duty That you reimburse to an employer. Is that included as ordinary wages (box 7 I believe ) followed by an offset deduction?

Employer reimbursed expenses that are qualified deductions are excluded and didn't know if this was a similar situation

    FAR - 78
REG - 72,74,71...please just go away REG nobody likes you!
    BEC - 82

@demarcon- 9 weeks should be enough depending on how comfortable you are with the material. That's about how long I studied, but the last 3 weeks weren't as intense because my wife had a baby.

I was fresh out of school when I started studying so some of the material was still fresh. If I hadn't just finished my Gov't/NFP class a few days before I started studying, I never would have passed. My exam was heavy on those topics!

Roger's great for FAR btw. I feel that's his best course out of all of them.

    FAR: 75 Roger & Ninja (notes/flashcards/audio/MCQ)
    AUD: 73, 81
    BEC: 71, retake 8/29

@dtatham10 The Jury Duty pay and remittance are both on the face of the 1040. I don't remember exactly what line it is, it's towards the bottom where you write that Jury Duty pay was remitted to employer.

Hopefully the 9 weeks works out for me. I work in industry right now, so the basics of F/S prep I am familiar with, but I will probably just take some vacation days in January to get double study time in. I am not fresh out of school for any of this.. lol

@demarcon I work in industry as well. The key with FAR is journal entries. Which for most in industry are 2nd nature. I bet you'll be fine

I actually passed REG in Nov, but I will be studying for BEC next so we might be able to help each other out even though we aren't studying for the same one. Plus, accountability.

That's great to hear that Roger's FAR course is his best one. I thought AUD was amazing, so I'm interested to see how it could be better.
