    D–replacement must be purchased by the END of the taxable year 2 years after disposition or 3 years after property is condemned.

    Ohhhh…didn't know it was 3 years for condemned property. Are the other sections this hard with crazy little rules like this?

    Yes. yes they are unfortunately. That's why i need a flashcard buddy. The little details will get me and I don't know how to study for those except to do flashcards.

    D– because his gain would be $250K, but he meets the change of employment test so he can exclude up to $250K, right?
