    Um, I don't think you need to do that just yet. You still have plenty of time and try to assess yourself with about 15-17 to go. At that point if you feel two weeks won't be enough, then postpone it.

    Thanks! I'm still anxious on my FAR result, but I hope I'm done forever with AUD after next Thursday. You are taking REG in only a month after AUD? Impressive!

    I'm sure you'll do great after all the practice questions you had with the AUD group.

    Well, I already took REG back in late August, so this is my retake. Hope that this one will be my last REG test lol

    FAR - 81
    REG - 74, 87
    AUD - 88
    BEC - 88

    Finally.

    Well, I'm done. Took REG yesterday, last time taking that test whether I pass or not. I can't take any more time away from my children.

    All in all, it was not as bad as it was the previous two times I've taken it, so I'm hopeful for a passing number!

    Good luck to you all!

    AUD = 85
    FAR = 79
    BEC = 79
    REG = 65, 72, 75!

    I AM DONE!!

    @Evwy_Mom – how was your test?? I know you have a lot riding on this one. From everything you've been posting in the REG threads it seems you were very prepared! I'm taking REG Tuesday so I have been following along as well. I hope you get good news on release day!

    FAR-78
    AUD-89
    REG-88
    BEC-85

    Done!!

    I'm taking it next Saturday (10/18). I still need to get over the hump on B-law and entity taxation. I haven't had a B-Law class since 06 and my tax classes barely got into corporate tax. The rest I feel I have a solid grasp on but will continue to build on them over the next week.

    I'll be planning on hitting those two topics more than the others this weekend and will also be doing a lot of sims. I'll want to be over prepared for them after hearing others experiences with them so far.

    *Fingers crossed*

    @Graham – I actually *think* it went well. The first MCQ testlet wasn't bad at all, the second one seemed REALLY hard – I had flagged a LOT of the questions, third one was hard to tell – maybe not quite as hard as the second, or maybe I was just used to it by then.

    The SIMS were sent from Heaven! I've taken this test twice before and the SIMS seemed like they were pulled from the recesses of CPA Exam hell. This time, I know that I knocked two of them out of the park. One was the research question and one was a drop-down menu type with a topic I was very familiar with. Two of them I wasn't very sure on and guessed on a basis issue for the whole thing but came home and checked and I'm pretty certain I got that one right. The other two had elements I was uncertain about, but I felt decent about them.

    Overall, the first two times I walked out of this exam I KNEW I hadn't passed; this time, I think I did. Of course, I'll be crushed if I didn't, but I'm feeling ok about it.

    AUD = 85
    FAR = 79
    BEC = 79
    REG = 65, 72, 75!

    I AM DONE!!

    @ Evwy – that's great news! I took REG once (73) and the sims were horrid. I have a retest on Monday and am hoping that mine are also great this time around!

    @Mary – I hope the ones you get are as decent as mine were. Not that they weren't hard, but they at least looked familiar. I swear, some of the stuff on the SIMS before looked completely weird and unrelated to my study material.

    AUD = 85
    FAR = 79
    BEC = 79
    REG = 65, 72, 75!

    I AM DONE!!

    For the M-1/GAAP to Tax reconciliation, how would you handle payroll taxes? Where are they expensed on the income statement for GAAP?

    I'm assuming that if I was given a GAAP NI, I would just add back in the federal income tax, but ignore any payroll taxes also listed.

    If I was given all the individual items (revenue, expenses, etc) and asked to compute both the GAAP net income and taxable income for Tax purposes, I would basically “deduct” payroll taxes for both.

    @akvod – I know that going from Net Income to Taxable Income you would add back the accrual for Federal Income Tax expense because that is not deductible for tax purposes. Payroll taxes are deductible so would not be added back.

    Your last statement is correct.

    AUD = 85
    FAR = 79
    BEC = 79
    REG = 65, 72, 75!

    I AM DONE!!
