That sounds about right tax lady. Indie states have their scores and it is not going over well with some Nasba state test takers. When is your appointment?

At 3 but I will be there for a few hours. I'm at work now but not being very productive. 🙂

I find that odd that the non-NASBA states are getting their scores, but not the NASBA states. That has to mean that NASBA is just sitting on the scores? Meanies.

@Tax woman – you work weekends? Is this a busy time for you?

I'm never productive on score release day. If I'm not checking for myself, then I'm checking the release thread for news from others that I have met in the study groups and keeping my fingers crossed that they post good news. 🙂

I'm trying to stay calm. I don't understand this madness….I'm glad at least some people are getting scores but this whole process is truly rudimentary.

Yes, I do audits too and municipals are due at the end of this month! I'm trying to get mine wrapped up today. I was very slack the couple weeks before my test so now I'm making up for it. 🙂

Audits and taxes? Wow! Good for you! Those municipals will help with FAR – I think that's 20% of the test.

@Bucky. That is an advantage for working in a small CPA firm…we get to do it ALL! I have absolutely loved the experience I have gained. I worked in industry 10+ years before going to public and have been here 4 years. And we do the entire audits ourselves…not just pieces here and there. From the initial prep work to putting together the financials. It's the best experience I've ever had. But, once I'm done with my CPA, I would like to transition back to industry in a controller or asst controller position.

@Tax Woman – sounds like that would be a great fit for you – now and in the future! I worked for a Big 4 firm for two years and walked away with a bad impression – my first year was spent copying stuff, getting lunch/dinner and cleaning snow off cars before we left for the office/at the end of the day. Not much learning there.

13–Easy Corp. is a real estate developer and regularly engages real estate brokers to act on its behalf in acquiring parcels of land. The brokers are authorized to enter into such contracts, but are instructed to do so in their own names without disclosing Easy's identity or its relationship to the transaction. If a broker enters into a contract with a seller on Easy's behalf:

    A. The broker will have the same actual authority as if Easy's identity had been disclosed.

    B. Easy will be bound by the contract because of the broker's apparent authority.

    C. Easy will not be liable for any negligent acts committed by the broker while acting on Easy's behalf.

    D. The broker will not be personally bound by the contract, because the broker has express authority to act.
