okay thanks. so the laminated boards are availabe during all sections of test? They have a thin pencil marker so you can write normal size?

Also, what do you do, wipe the board clean after filling it up with writing?

lastly, the calulator they have, does it have any quarks to it that you recall? My cpa program's calculator is unusable since it can do multiple calculations for some reason. i.e. 5000 / 180 * 12

    thanks

Yes you get two pieces of paper for every section you take and yes you can write normal size. You cannot wipe them clean, if you need more you give them to the prometric attendant and they will give you two new clean sheets – they will explain everything when you are checking in for your exam.

The calculator is a basic function calculator on the screen – much like the one they give you in most online testbanks (Wiley, Ninja, Becker, CPA Excel). I have never tried to do multiple calculations on it but I would imagine it would not work because it is a basic function calculator. So you would have to do 5000/180 and then multiply the answer for that by 12 (for your example).

there is other thing….i just realized that I dont know how to subtract without a calculator

    , duh? for instance:

    37

    -48

    ____

    -11

Answer is obviously -11. but how were we taught to do this simple problem long hand without calculator?

I feel like a retart but im seriously asking?

You put the bigger number on top and then subtract down the columns. 4-3=1 and 8-7=1 so your answer is 11 and the bigger number is negative so your final answer is -11. if it were 46, instead of 48 then you would change the 6 to 16 and reduce the 4 by 1. 16-7=9 and 3-3=0, so 37-46= -9

I hope so. Last night was a complete failure. Starting tomorrow night at 6 p.m. I am going full force until game day, except I am taking Sunday off and a 2 nights next week to spend with my family. Other than that…it's on! I'm not sure what the best use of my time is. Rewriting notes or just going crazy on the MCQ and Sims. I'll probably alternate between the two. What do you guys do in your final week?

    P.S. I didn't mean to Hiya myself.

I have sort of started my Final review from today..I am not at all confident with Blaw and ethics…so today and tomorrow, i am going to exclusively do R5, R6, R7, R8 (R5 ethics and R6-8 Blaw). Then on 22nd i will take a final test, see where i stand what i need work on more and then get onto each topic of tax, read, go through Notes, Problem questions, Simulations…and keep last day 25th only for notes, concepts and confidence builders πŸ™‚

Hopefully we all be done with this test this time πŸ™‚
