I'm stuck 🙁 . Here is where I hit my road block. EVERY TIME. I am 30 days away from testing and I have not finished the materials nor started my mcq's . The last few days have not been successful with study. TOO MANY DISTRACTIONS!!! What do I do? stick with the study plan or start endless mcq's. I hate being stuck. I will not change the date. I hope you guys can help me.

I have a question, it might be silly. But I still want to confirm with you guys. Do we need to memorize the deduction amount, tax rate and tax bracket etc… or it will be provided in the exam?
    Thank you

O.k So I'm fighting the motivation drought, I purchased my ninja membership (so much for winning right), I have exactly 30 days before test time and I am going to finish up my materials and get started on the mcq's immediately. Yes, this is my own pep talk. Sunday was not a good study day at all, yesterday I wasn't feeling too well, and didn't get much done to satisfaction, but today I'm at it again. I am downloading the audio so I can play it non stop on my phone (my daughter showed me how to blue tooth it to my car). It has been a rough time for me getting to the point of knowing enough to pass. Yes I have spent a lot of money on tests and materials, but I am determined to become a CPA. My last resort might be to get some Adderall to focus. Pep talk over until next time. I hope study is going well for everyone else.

Hey, @Tncincy, hang in there. I don't have the technology to listen by Bluetooth in my car, but I recorded everything into a digital recorder (remember those?) and I listen all the time. I really do think that helps. I'm taking my exam about the same date as you. I've been through all of Becker once and am now going over it again and writing notes as Jeff suggests. The first time was overwhelming to me, but now that I am beginning to see familiar scenarios, I feel a bit better. Just keep going.

@Cynthia, thanks for the encouragement. Overwhelming is a good word, or maybe just panic. I am doing a lot better today. I was able to get through individual notes, and I am finishing my last corporate lecture tonight and will be starting S-corp and Partnership tomorrow. I've been bailing out too many times because I have not completely studied, but not this time (if I can help it.). It helps to have encouragement too, so good luck and stay posted.

Can someone please explain to me the whole reasonable basis, substantial authority, and more likely than not concept?? Not sure why I find this sort of confusing.

    Thanks in advance!

So, I feel pretty confident with the tax section of REG, and almost done with Business Law. I recently started work full-time so I have been doing cumulative review of 160 Multiple Choice Questions each day, Monday – Thursday, and the weekends is when I do the new topics. I have been doing 6 new SU of the BLAW section on the weekend using Becker. And feeling extremely overwhelmed with the amount of information they are dishing out. The secured transactions section is really confusing me. My test is Scheduled for Sept. 10. I was just seeking any advice as far as final review goes. For instance, should I focus my final review primarily on the Tax section? Or should I be focusing on BLAW and TAX equally? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Feeling really overwhelmed.

Oh boy, hitting my wall again. So I had a long weekend and did not study at all. My husbands family reunion. 🙁 . I have 24 days until test time. I am fighting the urge to reschedule because more time means more things will come up. I know everyone will say you should skip your husbands family reunion and study. Unfortunately, it was not that easy since he was the host. which means, more work for me. Anyway, I am writing notes, and deciding how many mcq's or how to approach the mcq's or just reschedule and cover all of the materials. Stuck again. ( not in the mood for wise guy comments) I'll keep writing and listening to audio until I hear something good. I am also looking at Jeff's how to pass in 20 days, will that work for Reg?
It's not like I haven't studied at all. I have not finished the business law portions. When I miss a few days, I feel like I am starting over. Just can't get over that feeling of being soooo behind. So help gang, if you can.

@Tncincy, you aren't starting from nothing, you have done a lot already. So I bet Jeff's strategies will work for you. Now no one says that it will be fun! It is an insane amount of work. But you can do that for three weeks. I agree, you could not have skipped the reunion, I certainly would not have, and anyway that doesn't matter, it's in the past.

Just start from where you are right now. If you've been through everything in the course besides B-law, you're ahead of many people who will be taking the exam at the same time. And B-law is (to my mind) easier than the rest. Don't worry about how to approach the MCQs or how many to do, just do them as Jeff suggests.

I'm encouraging you to take the test in September because you learn something just from the test experience, and it will give you some momentum. You will gain from just showing yourself you can push forward. You need that win. Don't give up. Believe in yourself. It's “Time to Pass.”

    Best of luck.

Thank you Cynthia, I am writing notes. Just stopped to see if anyone responded. I went to the Prometric page to reschedule and just couldn't do it. I'm writing notes and preparing for mega study sessions. I couldn't bring myself to reschedule again. So I'm going with my scheduled date. I am going to tighten up my study schedule and get it done. My confidence is all over the place, but I am not re-scheduling. The hardest part of this is that I have been at this too long. Thanks for your response. Keep those fingers crossed for me.
