You should know the filing date like: April-15, and extension date and alternate date for estates.. N so on..

Hi there, I am schedule to take REG on 8/4. I took AICPA sample test today and have a few questions.
On the testlet 3-2, It asks Fred's stock basis (3), Fred's debt basis (4), Gain taxed to Fred (5) and Gain taxed to Melissa (7).
Could anyone please explain how I can calculate?

Do I need to know offhand Form numbers? for example that Form 4868 is to file an extension for an individual tax return etc.
Also I am not understanding the text from Becker as to when dependents must file income tax returns. Can someone please clarify?

I highly doubt it – but I would know the bigger ticket ones such as the 1040, 1120, 1065, etc.

The last few days have been so gorgeous for study outside. I've been able to put a dent in the materials. I am feeling a lot better about passing. Today is another great day. No immediate work, no noise at home, a great day and reason to study and study all day. Wishing everyone good study success today 🙂

I'm taking REG on the 10th of August…was feeling good until I looked at the SIMS on the AICPA practice exam! @30yearoldjunk how were the SIMS (without being too specific)? Are they as insane as the ones on the sample test???
