@want2pass The schedules are important! You of course need to know what information goes on each schedule and how it flows back to the individual. Filing deadlines are also important. Good luck today!
@cpab I wouldnt sweat the becker practice test too much. Keep plugging along, work on your weak areas and go into the test with confidence. You'll do great!
@want just remember to breathe! Looking forward to your report back. You can do this!!
@Gabe I almost feel like the AICPA read over the Beckermaterial and asked just about every multiple choice question that wasn't focused on. The tax questions were definitely a step beyond what Becker prepared me for. I know I missed about 5 multiple choice for sure. Some were due to stupid mistakes I made-things that I didn't have time to think through. I wasn't prepared for the sims. Again, they were a notch above Becker prep and I needed to know how to combine different rules. I'm confident that I didn't get any points on one of my sims.
@acc yeah. My Becker expired, so I had Ninja and a friend let me use Wiley. I felt like there were a lot of theory questions and business law. There were some calculations on mine, but nothing horrible. The Sims always suck for REG. Did you get two research questions? Based on your previous posts I think we may have gotten the same set of sims. In which case, there were two that I was not very confident with…of course the long wait does not help. Are you prepping for BEC in the mean time?
@Gabe The MCQ's were not horrible calculations but they threw elements into them that I hadn't seen before. I could have figured them out but I was super tired and there's always a time constraint. I flagged about 3 on each testlet. Agreed on the business law part. The sims that gave me trouble were actually similar to Becker sample tests but just way harder. Yes, I'm sitting for BEC on 5/31 so that'll keep my mind off of this hopefully. Yes, 2 research and they were both hard as hell to find.
@acc sounds like we had the same sims. I was suprised by one of the topics but tried to work my way through it as best I could. Good luck studying for BEC, at least you can focus on something else for a while. Fingers crossed for us both for May 5th!
Thanks…..I guess we never know with this stuff. I was 100% sure I failedAUD but I wound up with a 92. Hopefully I'll be surprised again. If not then it's a pretty crappy birthday present – 5/6 is my birthday.
@angelwatch I take it next Wednesday. I feel you on being ready to put the exam to rest. I am just excited to take a break from studying! have you gone through all of the NINJAMCQs yet?
Currently done 300 ninja mcq average score 74% and average trending score 72%. And I'm still re-reading one Becker chapter per day. Hope the percentage goes up soon!
I've been through most sections of Becker twice now. For NINJA I completed around 60% of the questions and am trending at 84%.
I doubt I'll do too much more NINJA to be honest. Right now my plan is to focus on Becker so I can do targetted study of areas I konw are tested heavily (property basis and like-kind exchanges) or areas I feel weaker in (AMT and some of the Business Law topics).
cpa8488: You have plenty of time to pull your NINJA trending up. Everyone starts out with a really low trending (I was in the mid to high 60's at first) but it's come way up since that time as I've learned and mastered material.
