@ CPAlife04 I am also taking the exam in the first week of January . Do you have any strategy how to complete REG in a month it has lots of material.

one month can be daunting but can be done if you put in 30 hours a week. take good notes, record them yourself (listen on your way to work or to places). this will help you be efficient b/c you won't need to go back and re-listen to them. learn to utilize the IRC when you're solving problems so you can search for things when you're working on your SIMs.

Trust Question. If a trust has income of $10,000 and distributes $5,000, does the trust pay tax on the $10,000 or its taxable income of $5,000.

Also, can federal tax expense be a permanent expense on an M-1? I don't know how it could be reversed

@Ano I am using the NINJA 10 point combo. I spend every free moment studying by flash cards, audio, notes or books. When I get to 20 days out I begin intense MCQs and note taking up until test date. I also plan to be on leave the last two weeks of December to get in some extra studying.

are you able to use the IRC and TS literature to help with SIMs in REG? kind of like how you can look stuff up in AL for Audit SIMs?

anybody incorporating more sims from the ninja test bank this quarter? or which ever study course. I focused mostly on mcq's but I think I am going to practice a few to get more familiar and comfortable before the test this time. I guess I'm just thinking of how to study different from last time. Really want to be well prepared and pass this time around.

Good to see you all in 2016 study group 1st quarter.

Just a quick one –
R8 in beckers having more than 330 questions on small topics, is it necessary to nail all?
Also, am having hard time to understand the logic behind calculation of basis in partnership. Whenever i see a question i feel completely blank. will post one question later in the day.
