This is my first post but I wish I would have found these forums sooner! I am taking REG as my first section of the exam tomorrow afternoon. I completed my MAC in the 2nd week of September and wanted to take REG while all the intricacies of the tax laws were still fresh in my head. I don't start work in AUD until January 2nd so I started reviewing with Gleim at the beginning of October. I have access to Becker through my employer, but I didn't want to activate it because I had already started the Gleim review and will activate Becker for my next session to use both.

I can't say that I was in full-on study mode until about 3 weeks ago because I was worried that I would forget a lot of what I was studying. I had been doing a lot of review questions here and there, and also listening to the review units while driving. While I'm fairly confident with the tax portions, I am still having a real rough time with Business Law. I am averaging 90-95% on my tax questions but anyhwere from 60-65% on business law. I hadn't had a BL class since the middle of my BBA ('08-'09) so that is where my focus is for the last 24 hours or so of my prep.

I'm about as nervous as I could be. I am to the point where I will just study as much as I can today and get enough sleep tonight so I can wake up early tomorrow and cram/memorize a little bit more before my exam at 2pm. I'm hoping for a friendly (to my strengths) exam. I know that if I don't pass this first time I can retake it, but will always know I could have done more to prepare.

    Good luck everyone!

Around this time next week, I will either be jumping for joy or feeling defeated. Yep. I'll have my REG scores. I really can't predict the outcome of my test last Saturday. This is my third fight with REG. My first two bouts I only used Becker and I got two 74s. I found this blog noticed people raving about Wiley and Ninja notes, so I bought both.i think that Wiley and Ninja helped with the mcq's, but of course my SIMs were ”'what?” And after staying up until 4:00 with a 12 noon test, I was burnt out. I managed to answer all questions. So, we will see. Round four? I hope not. I am studying AUD right now and I feel good about the subject already. Come on, got to pass and get that CPA!

I will be taking REG at 12:30 this afternoon. I am not feeling very confident right now, a lot of 70's on cpareviewforfree. I guess I will always feel I could have studied more, but there were a lot of distractions on this section…good luck to everyone sitting today and next week.

    Hey all, new here.

I took REG for my 2nd time yesterday and, for the most part, I feel better about it.

I found myself doing horribly on the Gleim practice questions, but I later found out that was mostly because Gleim's publisher adapted questions are totally ridiculous. Like, seriously. One question in Gleim wanted me to calculate someone's Credit for the Elderly. Talk about frustration, and there's no way in hell I'm going to try to commit that type of thing to memory because, quite honestly, I already knew they wouldn't ask me specifics about calculating a credit unless it was AMT or the DRD “credit” for businesses.
