So tired of studying – taking REG on Wednesday. I really need this exam to be over and done with!! I don't know why I thought 5 weeks was good for me to study – I feel like it's such a compressed time frame and I'm scrambling now.

I work about 60+ hours a week and it's a struggle getting through all the material but I'm hoping my 9 years of tax experience can help carry me through this exam!!!

I feel like I have done what I need to do as far as multiple choice questions. I have already completed more than I did for any other exam and I am reaching the point of diminishing returns. Does anyone have any suggestions for the next most helpful thing to study? I have Thursday off and plan to work sims and the recently released questions. I still have a couple more nights that I could spend doing something else.

@BigNumbers: I would look at the main tax forms, at least that's what I'm doing. Taking the exam Tuesday, so ready to have this over with!

Just took Reg…I gotta vent so sorry if I go on rambling! This was probably the hardest test I've taken out of all of them that I've sat for. There were a few MCQ where I knew the answer 100% on how to calculate it but for some reason the answer choice was not there (tried to figure out any way it could be any of the other choices and it would just not work for the life of me). But the most frustrating part were the SIMS. Every single SIM that I had were nearly impossible. I gave myself an hour and 15 min for the SIMS and kept going back and forth between them at a loss of how to even start them. Normally there would be 1 or 2 that are do-able, but not this time for me. They were just ridiculous so I basically ended up just filling out things just to have something in there. Only a CPA miracle could help me – Oh what I would give to be one of those people who post and say that they feel like they bombed it and ended up getting an 87..

I take REG tomorrow. Its been a long day so far. I'm currently going over every page of the Becker book. I hope I dont get angry at the computer tomorrow!

Took REG this morning for the 3rd time :-/…I blew through the multiple choice…there were only a few questions that gave me a little trouble…then came the SIMS which are typically my arch nemesis…3 out of the 6 I was fairly confident on…the other 3 were absolute monsters that I was definitely not prepared for…the topics were not even covered in Becker! I always get so frustrated after doing well on the multiple choice and seeing weaker on the SIMS. I need to do this and here's to hoping that my educated guesswork for the SIMS was good enough!

Just finished Roger CPA Review online course and have done the homework twice, although I haven't done the TBS yet. I saved them for last. My test is scheduled for Friday, so I still have 3 full days (and what is left of today) to study. My plan:

Watch Roger CPA Review Cram and complete all the TBS that was assigned tomorrow. The last two days use the Wiley software and computer questions. Wish me luck.

Took Reg this morning. MCs went fine. First testlet fairly easy and then 2 and 3 much harder. Pretty sure that some of those questions in 2 and 3 were nowhere in the material! Did MCs in 1 hour and had 2 hours for SIMs. SIMs were hard – but not crazy. Used AL extensively and was a big help for one question, so would definitely recommend spending time to familiarize yourself with the AL (I find it less intuitive than for example in FAR).

Also, without providing too much information: Make sure you study all parts of the exam…

All in all I think I passed – I guess I will find out in 2 weeks!
