    @Qlad

    You posted this earlier ” In the current year A had wages of $60,000 in wages from full time job. His share of net income as limited partner in the DD ltd. was 10000. He also had a rental loss from house of $30,000 how much net income does A has?

    ….for this the answer is 40000…

    I want to know if the wages were say $130,000…how wud we calculate….i know there is some special calculation if above $100,000 …but can't remember.”

    How is this answer 40,000? I thought they had a limit of 25,000 deductible from rental against ordinary if you qualified for it.

    So 60,000 + 10,000 – a potential 25,000.???

    Qlad – All I can say is don't panic. I know you are getting nervous but all i can say is stay calm, keep refreshing your memory but reading your notes and doing progressive tests. It will all come to you in the exam once your adrenaline kicks in.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

    I would hope that you don't get too many “detail oriented” questions that trick you.

    I'm worried about that because the Becker questions don't seem THAT hard and I know come exam day they will throw a ton of calculations at me.
