For those of you taking REG in October, how far along are you with your studies? I'm just trying to gauge my own progress.

I am using Becker and am through R1-R3 completely and R4 lectures (plan to start R4 hw and sims tonight and be complete by tomorrow afternoon).

Has anyone had a sim where you had to fill in info for a 1065, sch k, and k1? Or filling in any of the forms? I just had one in my practice exam I took with Wiley. I wasn't able to find anything in research section for the form.

Also is there a way to review the practice exam in Wiley after you take it? That way you can see exactly where you went wrong? I just got a 68%, but I think most of it is from the sims but I know there were some MCQs that I got wrong and wanted to make sure I understood them correctly.

I will say yes there can be possibilities where you will need to fill in a tax form. All I can say is practice and get comfortable doing them 🙂

Can I have you please help me with these partnership Questions.

I will start with Q 57 from the Wiley book.

Stone and Frazier decided to terminae the woodwest P/ship as of Dec 31. On that Date the Woodwest B/S was as follows:

Cash 2000.00

Land(adjusted basis) 2000.00

Capital – Stone 3000.00

Capital – Frazier 1000.00

The FMV of land was 3000.00. Frazier's outside basis in the partnership was 1,200.00. Upon liquidation, Fraziers received 1,500.00 Cash. What gain should Frazier recognize?
