MemberThat's right – a parent does not need to live with you to be a dependent claim.
The maintaining residence rule applies usually to your kids and they should be living with you, you should provide them 50% plus support and their income should be 3900 or less.

Member@insiyah24 – morning! Honestly I'm not sure what my plan of attack is going to be, I got a 71 and then a 73! I thought i had a decent handle on both topics tax and blaw, but obviously not. So i think I'm going to do a full over views of both and then taking the exam down. I'm scheduled for Nov 9th so I hope I have enough tine between now and then!
I'm debating between doing MCQ for each section then reviewing topics based on my results. Or watching videos first then MCQ. It's my third attempt so I feel like maybe I need to change up my study method. I'm also trying to maybe get anther book or more MCQ for this attempt.
A - 61, 91!!
B - 78!
F - 76!!!
R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!Finally done!
This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

Member@LSNYC…..I am currently studying for my second attempt at REG, I had a 73 the first time. I personally think it is important to rework all of the multiple choice questions. I have actually picked up on many little details I missed the first time around. I am only reviewing the lectures for the parts that I am still unclear on, this is only because I find myself tuning them out. I have also added Ninja Notes to my study plan and they are very helpful. The most important piece for me is that I have allowed myself 7 weeks to study for this section, rather than the 3 weeks I had the first time around. This is my last section and like you, I am determined to be done in 2013!! Good Luck!

MemberHiya LSNYC,
I am pretty much doing the same thing as Skrier.
I hope to sit REG again around Oct 4th/5th or 7th. It depends on what Prometrix has available. Since I took REG on 8/31 I still have the information in my head – i just need to fine tune it and understand it a lot better than I did before. 🙂
Hopefully as i come across questions that I need help in, the Ninja community can help me better understand why I got it wrong.

ParticipantHey Guys,
I am using the Becker Review material. I am on chapter 6 and when I get a MCQ wrong I usually hit the ebook button that will bring up the page where that information can be found in the book, then I write it down for review later.
In this chapter my ebook button is bringing me to the wrong pages. I do not remember this being a problem the first time around. Is anyone else having this same issue?

MemberHi guys, so I am freaking out because I was averaging 80% in the Wiley test bank but now I am studying the GLEIM multiple choice questions and I am averaging below 70%. I find the GLEIM questions more difficult but I want to be ready for my REG exam coming up. What should I do? Has anyone used GLEIM before and Wiley and noticed this difference? I really don't have much time, testing the first week of October. NEED YOUR FEEBACK PLEASE.
AUD - PASSED
REG - PASSEDMy great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure.

MemberTait45 – Don't panic. If you are getting 80% Wiley that is a good sign you are ready for the exam. Gleim is harder if you are doing 70% there is not bad.
I am using both. I noticed i do well in Wiley compared to Gleim. I passed the exam with BEC and AUD, I expect once i am doing 80 ish in Wiley and 70 ish in Gleim that I am better prepare to face REG.
Keep practicing you are doing good! and do not get disheartened with Gleim – learn why you are getting them wrong and build up your strength
When do you plan to get REG in OCT ?
