I finally landed in the REG study thread! I”m just finished up going through REG materials the first time so I won't be much help just yet. I may have a few questions though!

    Getting over the hump….

So I am prepping for my 4th go at the REG exam. It has to be a pass this time, because my FAR score expires if I don't get it. For the first two exams I went strictly Becker, and I took much shorter times than I should have (the first exam I crammed in 5 days, the second 10). This exam I took a full month, and focused at least 2-3 hours each night, plus 4-5 hours each weekend day. I got the Ninja audio, Wiley TB and Blitz. I wrote my own notes from the audio, and I felt prepared. A 74 is a huge blow back. I was prepared, I wasn't cocky or over confident (see score of 62 after getting a 74 in AUD).

Any ideas.. ANY!!! I am begging. I am going so crazy with this exam!!! I need a win, because seriously – I am reconsidering my career choice this weekend.

    FAR - 83 (expires January 31, 2014)
    BEC - 73, 80
    AUD - 74, 62, 84
    REG - 72, 73, 74 One more chance.

“Rule” as per answer to Becker MCQ in R4 #27/42 (Estate/Gift Taxation): an amount will not be treated as an excluded gift or bequest if the governing instrument provides that the specific sum is payable only from the “income” of the estate or trust.

    anyone know why not?
