10%, unless the question states to use old numbers, you should be using 2013 figures.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

Guys, I am scheduled to take my exam in November but feel very uncertain on what will be tested. Have any of you attempted REG that could share their experience? For example what do the simulations focus on? Which part of tax was more heavily tested? is business law really under 20% of the exam?

We can't really say what's on the test, they are all by chance. You may or may not get something similar if you compared two tests.

I will say that I felt the Becker % breakdown was fairly accurate.

    FAR - 84
    AUD - 94
    REG - 86
    BEC - 86

@UCMCPA I am using Becker as well and don't plan on supplementing it with anything. Do you feel like Becker provided sufficient review? I passed FAR with Becker but am nervous about Regulation.

at DABAEV100 – I used Rogers and Wiley for REG and they did prepare very well for the exam. I am sure Becker will as well. The most important thing is learn your concepts well and do not skip on anything.

Seriously I sat my exam on Sat and I felt they had touched on literally every single topic.. even the minor things. I would say know your stuff well and be comfortable in it. Sure you will see more Tax topics than B-law but its not to say B-law is not important.

The best way is doing all the question you have in Becker and do them twice. Learn why you got the ones you got wrong. Make a point to understand the concept.

Lastly, rather than learning all the phase out numbers and amounts by heart – I would say learn things like your circular 230 well as that is more important to know those in and out.

    FAR 05/27/14; 786/110 - Done !

Ok back on the studying bandwagon!

    A - 61, 91!!
    B - 78!
    F - 76!!!
    R - 71, 73, 74, 69, 77!!!!

    Finally done!

This is my 2nd attempt at the exam, I had two parts passed (failed many) and I stupidly quit, big mistake. Now I'm back and with a vengeance!

After doing some practice sims today I'm a little confused on depreciation. In the sims they gave the class of property and the depreciation tables to use to calc the depreciation for the various years. In most of the material that I read and the practice questions it's been more a case of determining mid-year, quarter or month. When should the tables be used instead of mid-year, mid-quarter, mid month?

Also, how's depreciation computed in the year of disposal? I'd think it would be similar to year of acquisition where you determine mid-year, quarter or month…
