I just took my test, but I don't know about everyone else who has taken recently but all my questions were HARD!! I don't think the time allocated for REG is fair. I literally was down to the wire!! Horrible,,

Hi all! So I just went and updated my notes for tax changes and did some MCQ. I came across one where they were taking 7.5% of AGI and subtracting it from medical expenses but I thought it was 10% of AGI. Is this a mistake? I went to see the software updates for Becker and this question is not listed on there as being updated for tax changes.

AGI $100,000

Doctor Bills $ 5,000

Surgery 15,000

Total 20,000

AGI Limitation (7,500) ($100,000 × 7.5%)

Deduction $ 12,500

@CPA Dilema, I too am using Becker. The software is still using 2012 rates., however the updates on the website does show the change to 10%. Not sure when they update the software content but for now we study with old rates and know the new for the exam.

@future I'm using becker lectures and MCQ. I haven't used the books or simulations for any of the tests. I've found that on the simulations one can ‘cheat' by using the authoritative literature to help get the answers
