@tulip and holly. Time was a concern. I had like 5 minutes left. I went thru the mcq as quick as possible. Its hard to really judge.
The hardest part is flipping thru diff tabs to look at diff info. I felt I was getting frustrating.
I would go thru the AICPA practice test and practice ur time on those Sims. I wish I had done that sooner.
Good luck my peeps!!!! I hope BEC forum is as cool as u guys.

Once strategy for time management is to simulate the test as much as possible. I have Becker so I do the progress test at chapter 8 (38 questions) then 8 simulations on NINJA with the same breaks and everything. I save 40 to 45 minutes for the each section of the MCQ. I followed that strategy for FAR and got done with plenty of time.

Exam is scheduled for July 31. I'm on R5 in becker and I want to finish the book this week possibly. I'm not working, just studying full time. I purchased the Ninja Notes for REG and I am starting to find some weak points in my learning. I have 3 weeks to review. Is it worth going back watch the lectures again, or is it a waste of time. should i just knock out as many mcq's as possible?

Taking my exam tomorrow 07/05. Does anyone know if there will be any sort of curve for this quarter?

I'm taking my exam a week from tomorrow, so the 12th. Not going to lie, some reviews of the new formatting are scaring me a bit.

I passed FAR on the first try back in January, but haven't done any of the other exams before, obviously including changes to formatting.

I did my first Becker mock exam over the weekend and got a 62%…made quite a few stupid mistakes. But, I know the general rule is to raise your score about 10 points. SO, I'm hoping another week of review will help me get there.

Hi everyone I hope everyone does great in their studies. I am taking REG for the Third time and still have weakness in the SIM so I have done a lot of SIM in different reviews but my concern is that does NASBA or AICPA provide extra SIM practice through the NTS? I would really appreciate it if you can guide me into more informative SIM practice. Thank you all for your help.

Good morning everyone! I can't say I studied a lot this weekend, but I did take both Mock Tests in Becker. The 2nd one was markedly easier but I did terribly on MCQ because I don't remember any BLAW-reviewing it today…I got an overall 64 on the first one and overall 72 on the second one only because the SIMS were much easier…the first one had SIMS as I would probably have expected on the test… My test is on 7/20. From now on, I plan on going through Ninja MCQ I missed, doing the rest of the SIMS and doing sets of 78 in Becker every day….

@anyatver Good luck! Our tests will be here before we know it, hopefully. I used to feel relief when I saw that my test is farther away and I got more review time; now, I just want this over!! I'm saving the Mock Tests until the end and hitting NINJA right now. You did great on those Mock Tests.

@Holly-I am definitely almost excited to take it on 7/20! It's like the finish line, and knowing that I plan on taking some time off from studying until end of August to enjoy my kids and the summer is keeping me motivated! 🙂

    – The best advice I could offer is in regards to the SIMS. And that is to leave yourself as much time as possible for those. Obviously knowing the subject matter will help you to be more efficient. But you are also going to be spending A LOT of time flipping through tabs to look at supporting documentation, your calculator, the IRC, then back to the problem itself. Why they can't give you a second screen or decent note taking tools is beyond me. So just prepare to eat up a lot of time going back and forth between the information you need to answer the question.

A second screen would be great. I guess they try to give us that functionality with the split screen feature but that didn't help me because the content was too large to fit in half a screen.

Does anyone know if there is a list of topics in Ninja MCQ that will no longer be tested? There was a list like this for FAR but I haven't seen one for REG

    Hello All,

I am planning on taking my REG Exam on 7/14. Just finished my first Becker Mock exam and got a 74. When I sat for the BEC exam in March, I studied fairly well in Becker and was confident I would pass and ended up getting a 90. I took FAR on May 30th and based on my scores on Mock Exams and all the Full content MCQ progress tests I took, the data told me I would pass, but then I took the exam. Scores aren't out yet, but it was HARD. The SIMS were incredibly harder than the Becker Mock exams. I wonder if with the new test format they've decided to severely reduce the number of people who pass. I am not looking forward to receiving my FAR score on Aug 17th, bc I don't want to have to retake that one. How I took the exam versus how I studied has me a little worried that Becker is really not ready for this new exam format.
