    Hi Guys – Could someone please explain to me what the heck this means with regards to the NONliquidating distributions in a partnership: In a nonliquidating distribution, Gain is only recognized by the partner to the extent that CASH (Including partnership liability assumed by a partner) exceeds the partner's basis in the partnership interest.

    What is the “Including Partnership Liability assumed by a partner” referring to? Does that statement mean any liabilities of the partner that other partner's assume since this would be considered a “distribution of cash” which reduces the partner's basis as well…

    As always, all the help is appreciated.

    For those of you that have taken REG after April 1, which exam topics popped up more so than any other? Did anything stand out?

    @wakefern58 The reduction of a partner's share of liabilities is what they're talking about I think.

    @AboveParPlayer
    pretty sure we can't discuss that.

    Hey, everyone.

    I just started the final review for REG with Ninja MCQs. I'm going to be honest – I did not study the best while going through the material with Wiley CPAexcel so my knowledge of the material is far from decent right now. My plan was to use two weeks of Ninja MCQ to ‘learn' the material again since I prefer Ninja 100x over Wiley. Do you guys think this sounds okay or no? I'm just freaking myself out now worried about it. I NEED to go in there and pass this exam on the first try so I need to put in some hard work. I'd like to test at the end of July or beginning of August.

    Thanks for any opinions or tips! 🙂

    Thx for sharing and wishing you all the best of the rest of the summer with ur wonderdul partner. You ve worked hard and you deserve it.

    How did you manage your time? What was your starategy? Is time of a concern to this exam?

    BTW, does anyone has an exam strategy? Pls share.

    Thx

    @Julia I would say reevaluate your freak out over the next few days. FAR and REG deserve more study time typically, but not BEC and AUD. I hated auditing and sucked at it, but there's just not quite the amount of info.

    @Tulip

    I've been trying to figure out people's strategies too. For now what I do (for tax) is watch the video, read the chapter, and then rewatch the video and make notes – it's working so far! Blaw was so much easier to get through!

    @julia

    I'm sure you did better than you think. Really appreciate the tips. I'm going to practice more SIMS than MCQs now. Hope you can relax. This CPA student life is rough
