@Determined to Succeed–The reason Dix is still liable for the mortgage to the bank is because the bank did not release him from the mortgage. The problem only states that he had an agreement with Wilk, not the the bank. Dix will still be liable to the bank because they had an agreement, but then he could go after Wilk for the money because of the agreement between Wilk and Dix.

I'm under the gun here. 9 days until my exam, and I'm half-way through rewriting notes. After that, MCQ's. Feeling the pressure a little bit.

Due to time constraints, I'm thinking of just focusing the rest of my time to MCQ's (14 chapters in 7 days), and just taking notes on MCQ's I get wrong.

I'm thinking of just re-reading the rest of my notes before each MCQ practice testlet.

Um…I take it tomorrow and am averaging right around 65% on MCQ's. SIMs have been my strong suit on the previous 2 tests but I've always averaged a little higher on MCQ's. Hopefully, the SIMs will pull me to at least a 75 on the actual exam. Damn! I'm kicking myself for the lack of focus I've had through the REG study process!

    FAR - 87 2/18/14
    AUD - 84 4/2/14
    REG - 87 7/23/14

I still have six weeks left but I've really just begun and can relate. I have a significant lack of motivation on this one and I know its goimg to come back and bite me. All we need is a 75 folks let's get out there and make it happen. Those of you with just a little bit of time left…just focus on your weak spots as I'm sure you already are. < =a day and quite honestly there isn't much you can do at this point except memorization and relaxation so you are fresh and focused on exam day. Most of all be confident, trust your preparation (even if it wasnt optimal) and you just might be surprised what you can make happen on release day. I'll be there in 5 weeks and 5 days….

@mama posted my experience in the experience thread. Didn't feel good at all 🙁

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

How are you guys studying for reg? I'm trying to learn professional responsibilities and business law within a couple weeks. Then move on to tax and learn that in a couple weeks. Then review everything for 2 weeks.

I wish I had more than 6 weeks to study, but I have to make it work.

    What's everyone else's strategy?

I actually just started studying, finishing up on R1 so I have about 5 weeks until my test date.

Going to take about 3 days per chapter to do lecture/hw/sims – so it's going to be a grind!! If all goes well, I'll have 11 days to review.

    FAR - 81
    REG - 74, 87
    AUD - 88
    BEC - 88

I just got back and it was the worst experience EVER. I flagged about 1/3 of the MCQ's but the SIMS. The SIMS!!!! They were ridiculous. We're taking a subject that I studied for 20 minutes – 8 weeks ago. I had no practice MCQ's, no practice sims, no cram coverage, etc. Bam. Do a SIM. One SIM was ridiculously easy and took about 45 seconds so I didn't trust it either.

And SIMs with TABS? Had two of those things.

    AUD - 84 4/2/14

I'm doing tax first, then business law and then Corp responsibilities. The plan is to continuously review notes and MCQs as I go through so the tax doesn't go away. This gives me the most MCQ time on problem based material that requires understanding while minimizing the time between study and test on the topics that require memorization. This process has served me well thus far, curious to see if it holds up to big bad REG

Got the exam first thing tomorrow. Took a practice test today, got around a 70% with some silly mistakes. Don't really feel like doing anything at all! I'm going to try and skim the book over once more, but I might just drink a beer or two and watch some TV!
