    So I'm going through the unilateral mistake lesson in CPAexcel, and to my understanding, so if two people agreed to sell a car for $600, and then its actual value is like 10 times, $6000, does that excuse the seller from performance, since its worth a lot more and it should have been obvious that its a mistake?

    @Determined

    With material unilateral mistake, one may disaffirm only if the other party knew or should have known a mistake was made.

    So in you example, if the buyer should heave know a mistake has been made by the seller. The seller should be able to disaffirm.

    How does that sound.

    On my first day of Individual Tax and I'm starting to think it's going to hurt me that I've never done my own taxes. 🙁

    You could try preparing a year or 2 and then compare it to what was filed for you.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
    FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)

    I think I will do that. Thanks!!! I had every intention of doing it myself this year, but decided studying for FAR was more important.

    Thanks mamabear! A little more nervous on this one…I think it's because I'm now “on the clock” and each fail means a lot more now than it did. All that said….4 hours from now I'm gonna slaughter BEC and set my sights on REG. Good luck on this one…This being your last exam I'm sure you have no trouble coming up with the proper motivation:). Kill this damn thing and become a CPA already!!

    I'm working on it. The 3/4 completion is definitley motivating but it's battling with my daughter's preschool graduation, 2 daughter's birthdays, many of her classmates birthday parties, two high school graduations (one out of state), a quarter end, and new executive management at work. All before my test date on 07/19. Please give me the strength to accept the things I cannot change so I can be done with this already. 🙂 BEC should be scared of you right now. It won't know what hit it before this day is out!

    Sorry Melans. I'm not that far into my studies yet. We had friends sort of surprise us for Memorial Day weekend so I took Saturday and Sunday off to go to the pool, the beach, and have a barbecue. I'm studying all day today after they leave to go home and then I'm going to get into it seriously until exam day. Hopefully I can start contributing to the questions sometime soon.

    How is everyone tackling the material? With FAR, I put the Ninja method to use with my Gleim material. Went through all the videos then started tackling the MCQ's.

    My REG studying started today and I'm going through the videos and after the first one, I just don't know if sitting through all of these will be as beneficial with REG as it was with FAR. (Mainly because this material is A LOT less interesting to me, so I don't know if I will remained focused through the videos.)
