Thanks Amay! Eliam posted that earlier and it really helped me get through the rest of my MCQ. It's just one of those things I need to commit to memory. My session results are pretty bad for this to be my second pass. Oh well. Am probably going to start a third pass for Taxation of entities. I think repetitveness is the key to memorizing all these little details.

My average trending score is only 67%. Need to focus on property transactions tomorrow if I can. I'm still in the 50s on those. Ninja MCQ is kicking my butt!

Off to the library/Starbucks for another intense study session.

Good luck Nick! I've only got a few hours before I need to pick up the kids so I'm drilling flashcards until then. Flashcards really do help remember the concepts if any of you are having trouble remembering things. Being able to rate how well you knew them is a great feature!

Momma, I'll sure you'll be efficient in your time today.

Test day is Wednesday. Nervous for my first exam.

@CPAMommyof3 I'm still in the 50's too on Ninja MCQs in a lot of subjects. I'm having SUCH a hard time focusing with it being so sunny and nice out! When is your exam?

Speaking of last one, my family wants to throw me a party when I pass. They are kind of sick of me studying too! I keep thinking about that every time I get lazy 🙂 How are you guys planning on celebrating when you are finally done??!!!

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

*This is my 2nd attempt at the CPA exam. For all of you who have failed this exam many times, given up on it, or taken a break like me, remember that it is still possible to finish what you started...failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently 🙂

Cruise in September! It's already booked so I guess it's not really correlated to passing, but I keep looking at it like that because I'll still be stressed over studying in Q4 if I don't pass and won't enjoy my cruise as much as I will if I'm DONE!!

@Amay My family is saying the same thing! I want to pass for their sake almost as much as mine! haha

I'm thinking I'll invite everyone over who I have been missing for a bbq (with lots of drinks), and thank them all for sticking by me this past year 🙂 maybe also have a bonfire and throw in all my flashcards.

    FAR 75 (8/21/13)
    AUD 72 (10/29/13) 74 (2/12/14) 84! (04/01/14)
    BEC 75 (11/27/13)
    REG 72 (05/29/14) 74 (07/10/14) 86 and DONE! (10/02/14)

I will be out of the house (starting full-time Oct. 6th) by the time I finish the CPA.

Probably won't get anything for passing–parents have given me more than enough in my childhood fortunately and are continuing to subsidize my living post-grad until I start while studying.

@Mama A cruise sounds awesome! I have a weekend getaway booked the weekend after my exam at an all-inclusive resort and I am so excited about unwinding! Which cruise line?

@yassy lots of drinks is a must! I was also thinking about doing the bonfire thing…that would be so awesome!

@Nick getting your independence sounds like celebration enough to me! 😉

    BEC: 73, 81
    AUD: 85
    FAR: 71, 77
    REG: 74, 75...finally DONE! 😀

Do you guys think memorizing the personal AMT mnemonics is necessary (panic timme) or can we just remember that the ONLY differences in adjustments between regular tax and AMT are:

    1. Home mortgage

    2. Charity

    3. Excess medical

I feel that with becker I can figure out the right answer if I just remember those rules for adjustments. Then PPP is easy to remember too!

    F - 88 ✔
    R - 88 ✔
    A - 92 ✔
    B - 88 ✔

    DONE

@pryce, PANIC +/- TIMME + isn't that much harder to remember too
