OK–I went through all the Individual tax question in Ninja MCQ for a second time. Averaged 60% on questions previously missed. These ridiculous numbers are getting to me, but I started memorizing some of the explanations so hopefully some of it is sinking in. My fear is that I am memorizing the questions and not the actual explanations. Moving on to Partnership Tax and will go back to Individual on Sunday to see if I can remember any of it.

    So looking for some advice..

Was originally going to take REG on the 19th, but lost a week due to…life lol.. so I moved it back a week to the 26th.. so it will be 6 weeks total.. I'm two weeks in and I'm going to be starting Taxes…getting between 60-90% on CPAexcel on first round of MCQS in blaw… I just don't feel like I have a good chance of passing.. I thought after FAR that it would be much easier, but taxes have me freaking out as well as everything that is covered in BLAW…so much.. do you guys think 3 weeks for taxes, and 1 week of review is enough to get through and pass?

Thanks and sorry, had to vent 🙂

I gave myself 6 weeks and I honestly don't know if it was enough time. I can't back my test up so I have no choice but to try. You are already within the 5-30 day window to have to pay $35 to change move your test back. So give it your best shot and reevaluate where you are before you hit the 5 day mark and back it up if needed. It really depends on how much time you have to study and how much quality studying you can get done in that time. 60-90% on your first pass of BLaw sounds good to me. Focus on tax for 3 weeks, like you have planned and then see where you are at.

Does anyone else think they should split these tests up differently? I think they should have an entire test on Corporations with shareholders (including audit of corp, taxes of corp, Financial Reporting of Corp) then have an entire test on other business structures and all of their business aspects, then have another test on stuff that pertains to any business? I think it would make studying for these tests a little easier.

I just went through all the Blitz videos for Corporate Tax and I am at a loss in determining what is actually important. I assume all of it is, but there just seems to be so much random information. I don't see where it all pulls together to make a bigger picture.

The big picture for REG is:

    -People get taxed

    -Corporations get taxed

-You get taxed when you die

-Have a good reason for taking a tax position

-I'm never gonna see a piece of commercial paper that has been endorsed 8 times

I really can't tell if the Ninja MCQ are just that hard or if I'm just not getting it.

This is horrible. I've been trying to study at home more this time. The weight gain, money spent, lack of sleep and guilt for staying at coffee shops to study was getting to me after FAR. But now I know why I did it. Every single time I open this book or start the MCQ's I get sleepy. And not like cute sleepy … like, screen gets blurry, bobble head in this desk chair sleepy.

Sorry … just needed to vent. Back to the coffee shops next week.

Well Becker's first practice test just took a proverbial @#$% on me.

    Jesus God.

Becker's practice test's are hard. Good news is you generally will see a 5-20 point increase on the real exam. for FAR my scores on becker was like a 60 and a 70. For AUD it was a 74 and 70
