@ske118 I'm glad to see you are on your last one! I pretty much study the same times as you depending on how much the baby naps. I love it when she takes a long nap on the weekends! It's encouraging to see that other people in my situation can succeed at this. Good luck next week!

I was in heaven on Sunday–got both toddlers down for a nap at the SAME time and arranged a play date for my 5 year old so I could work through MCQ to accomplish Jeff's challenge. It was FABULOUS!! I can't study if my kids are at home and awake. My husband doesn't have the ability to keep them occupied enough to leave me alone to study. I tried it Sunday night since I was on a roll from their nap time and I scored in the 30s on my quiz. 🙁

@mamabear = machine, it's tough going through this with one, but 3?! You rock.

@JMOR you'll be good… just do the problems and when you mess up, just make sure you understand why. Good luck to you next week too!

@NYC–I just finished my first pass of all the material and only scored in the 70s in one section. I'm looking forward to my free week of blitz and going back through all of my MCQ notes and starting my second round of quizzing. I am not very confident about this material and I REALLY want this to be my last exam. I've got tons of notes, but I am having trouble remembering all the tricks, exemptions, exceptions to all the rules. It is frustrating and I definitely shouldn't have saved this one for last. I get two more attempts to pass it before BEC expires, but I would prefer not to need them. Thanks for checking up on me. How is AUD going for you?

I'm finding Reg pretty challenging with having no real basis in tax accounting or business law other than a class in each over four years ago.

Do you all find that you learn more by reading study texts or just powering through MCQs and reading the rationale as to why an answer is right/wrong?

    A - 84
    R - 81
    B - 77
    F - 81

I am going through MCQ and taking notes on why an answer is right/wrong. The books put me to sleep and I didn't pay much attention to the lectures so I'm using the Ninja MCQ to pass REG. I can't tell you if it will work because I haven't taken it yet, but I used a similar method for FAR and that worked.

I get a general basis of understanding from lectures and solidify that understanding through application in the MCQ.

I read my Wiley book first, but for me the real work is in going through the MCQ and seeing how to go about each problem. I do them one at a time– try solving it, look at the correct answer, make a note on the key issue, rework it if necessary, then move to the next problem.

    AUD 84 (1/9/14-Wiley books/TB + free materials)
FAR 83 (5/21/14-the above + NINJA 10 Pt Combo Lite)
    REG 84 (7/9/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC/Notes)
    BEC 76 (10/5/14-Wiley books/TB + NINJA Audio/FC)

I am IN. I thought REG will be fun but it's not. Waaaa, why REG has to be this complicated. When I was in college (10 years ago from my native country), I really enjoyed the taxation courses – but now I am speechless. Maybe if I was having real-world exposure to this stuff, I would get to enjoy it better.
