WOW!
I watched the video and it is very good! Thank you for taking the time to respond. I am not quitting. I am just tired and it seems that only those who are taking the test today can relate. I work for 2 CPAs who took the exam several years ago and I feel as if they just don't get it. Also, my family, who loves me, hates to see me miss family functions and hates to see me get so upset when I did not pass another exam. Yes, I agree with you, I cannot thank Jeff enough for doing what he has done with this website. It is a place I can go to pour out my frustrations and someone else will totally understand what I am talking about!
I passed FAR the end of last year but had lost REG AND BEC. I felt I would go in and knock out REG in July (after tax season). I can't help from wondering if I was feeling a little too self assured that I had passed this exam before and I really wasn't fully prepared. When I left the exam I knew that I had not passed; matter of fact, I didn't even finish! I felt sooooooo defeated. So depressed. My Mom was saying, “Honey, maybe this is not for you.” Well, that did not make me feel much better. I want to be a CPA, I just want the exams to be done.
I will keep moving forward, but I have lost some of my drive and confidence. I try to push it out of my mind but I sometimes wonder will I ever be done? I also ask myself “How much longer can you continue to do this?”
Maybe after I pass REG I will have a better outlook.
Thanks again for your words of encouragement. I can see you have had your own share of struggles, which within reality are much more severe than mine. I will also look into the book that you recommend.
Thanks again and thanks to Jeff for all he has done to support all of us potential CPAs.

MemberI started my journey in 2009 – passed BEC and REG, failed FAR (a few times) and AUD. I was laid off from work and put down the books for quite a while but I always kept it in the back of my mind that I would come back to it one day. I walked into the finance director's office to introduce myself about 2 years ago and we got to talking. He told me the company would pay for the prep courses as well as the exams. I got back on my horse and started studying this past January. I finally passed FAR followed by a passing score in AUD. Then I came up against the two exams I had already passed but lost credit. I did not feel overconfident when it came to REG, and I did not pass. It was a tough one to swallow since I had previously passed it and really wasn't even close this time. What kept me going for BEC was remembering the feeling I had when I saw my passing scores for FAR and AUD. I came back with a passing score on BEC and now I have to sit down and start studying REG once again. Knowing that it's the last exam I have to pass is quite the motivation. The moral of the story – PERSEVERANCE!
AUD: Attempt 1: 60; Attempt 2: 78
BEC: Attempt 1: 75 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 80
FAR: Attempt 1: 74; Attempt 2: 74; Attempt 3: 78
REG: Attempt 1: 76 (lost credit); Attempt 2: 68; Attempt 3: 80Finished 11/01/2013!!!

KeymasterREG people worried about the July update – many of the updated numbers affect Individual Tax and I just made that update free for everything via the Free Notes area.

Participanthow similar to Becker is the REG exam? I'm probably getting around 90% on the comprehensive mulitple choice.. I know the sims are way more difficult, but I really don't want to take this again.. I did about the same on the AUD portion of Becker as I am on REG now and got an 80 the first try, mainly due to sims, but am I pretty prepared through Becker or not – I get the concepts, I just need to memorize some of the nmemonic stuff to solidify.. I take it in 2 weeks.
