Just got home after some celebratory drinks with my buddy.

My exam experience.

First testlet: easy

2nd testlet: difficult

3rd testlet: difficult

Simulations, nothing crazy and I know which simulation was my pretest one. (wink wink)

All in all, I feel like the becker/wiley combo really prepared me for what I was to expect on the exam. Good luck to everyone else taking it this session. Hopefully my experience tonight is indicative of a passing grade!

Always hard to gauge it without having experience 🙂 Unfortunately no break time for me, I'm starting my studies for FAR tomorrow morning and am taking it on August 1st. I start work in September, so I need to get as much done as I can while I am able to study full time. I just finished my MAcc a couple months ago so hopefully a decent amount of this will be pretty fresh.

There is no way to tell how you did until you receive your score. Just relax, be happy that it is over, and look forward to new material.

I so don't feel like studying, trying to get as much of chapter 4 done before the extended 4th of July weekend. I get through 5 MCQs and take a 5 minute break, this is taking forever.

I'm hearing from a few people on here that REG was more conceptual than they thought. Does anyone think that it would be a good idea to re-read each chapter along with doing MCQ's or just do MCQ's and not re-read the chapters? If I re-read the chapters, should I read the entire chapter or just the highlighed parts by Becker? I'm spending 3 weeks for final review.

My exam was more on the side of complex calculations than conceptual questions. I think 3 weeks will be more than enough time for you to really hammer the topics down.

But the nice thing about not getting the score for a month is that the sting is numbed a little bit after it having been so long ago 🙂 I felt the same way as you did regarding the difficulty of the testlets. I got done with my first testlet and was feeling like I might get a perfect score… it got more challenging pretty quickly. If nothing else I feel good because I think there is a possibility I could pass.

In any case, congrats to you on getting one more taken. I envy you for already being done with FAR but overall it looks like you and I are on a pretty similar study schedule. I'll be taking each of the next three about a month apart each. Good luck and thanks again!
