Well, I came out of the exam feeling pretty good… However that doesn't necessarily mean anything in the CPA world as far as if I passed or not… for FAR and AUD I ended up finishing the exam with an hour and a half to spare, but for REG I was working on the SIMs up until the last second.

Took REG today. I wish I would have read more, I felt it was more conceptual than I thought it would be. Definitely don't feel as confident as I did with the other exams…sigh

Hey guys, I just took FAR yesterday and am starting with REG now. I have a quick question about gift basis in R1. Because it's based on what the recipient sells it for, how do they record it when they first receive the gift? That was the only thing I was confused about in R1. It would be great if someone could help me out, thank you!

it is not taxable when you receive it. It is taxable to the person giving it if it is over a certain threshold (which is discussed more in R4)
