Member@ Masterof74s _ I'm off to the store buy their entire stock of blue berries!! And chocolate… well that's just my daily regimental eating habits!!
I researched on CCH the AMT Adjustments for 2013, it only states 10% for medical deductions. So… I am not 100% certain, but I feel that the test wouldn't ask a question like this, but they might – for anyone (married couple) under age 65 – use their full medical expense deduction as an adjustment (since it is now 10%). For anyone who is married and one spouse is 65 – you will need to Increase their medical expense deduction from 7.5% to 10% to calculate the Adjustment.
How many pages are Jeff's notes? I'm asking because I am up to 62 pages of typed notes for myself – his may be easier for me before the exam.

Member@Heidi-O the notes for REG are 138 pages but they are fairly large font and are all outline style. He breaks it down into the main topics of each area you should really focus on. My approach was to go through those and then for any areas that still weren't clicking for me go back and read Becker for some more detail on the topic. I have the audio notes too, I listen to them in the car and if I feel like I haven't put in enough studying in a day I will listen to them in bed at night (If I can't fall asleep they tend to knock me right out too, lol whoops!)
@peetree, this is my first time using the Wiley Test bank and I also noticed the different questions, I have also been coming across some repeat ones from Becker as well. I am really hoping that using Wiley will give me enough exposure to get that 75 this time!
The simulations always seem to get me. This past time I thought I nailed them too but got “weaker”, I got all “stronger” and “comparable” on the mc too so thats definitely what held me back was the simulations but I feel like they are hard to study for and its all luck of the draw which ones you end up with. For other sections using the research tab definitely helps but for REG I just end up wasting time searching through everything *sigh*

MemberTaking this exam Monday. A little stressed. In final review now and my Becker progress tests are going really well but the first practice exam didn't go so hot. Looks like I've got partnerships and business law down but I need to brush up on corporations and individuals a little bit more. Anybody else feel like the Becker first practice exam was really heavy on specific amounts and limits? Not sure if the actual exam will be like that.
Just finished an advanced tax class too that I'm hoping will help a little bit. Hope everyone is having a great power weekend 🙂

MemberI noticed that as well @future
I scored in the 80s on both practice exams but I think it was because I've been using the wiley test bank as well. It is common for people to think that the becker practice exams are much harder than the actual exam. Good luck, I'll be taking mine on tuesday and am anxious and excited.

Member@Future GA CPA, I'm in the same boat as you: taking the exam Monday and feeling really stressed. I'm just now finishing up my final review and planning on taking a practice test tomorrow morning when I'm feeling refreshed (and not constantly on the verge of falling asleep). Here's to hoping we (including you @Peetree!) can get some good final cramming in!!

MemberGood luck today guys! Get that studying done.
My exam isn't till 6pm on Tuesday so I still have three full days of review left (thank god).
I plan on doing notecards and reading the text today. Practice questions tomorrow, and reading the text and ninja notes one more time before my exam on tuesday.

MemberGood Luck to HopefulTXCPA and Peetree and the rest of you trail blazers that are taking the exam this week!!
My thoughts will be with you.
May your research question ask you what the first number is of the IRC.
May your simulation task be “Bob Smith, who lives alone and is single has made $35,000 in income this year and supports only himself. Fill out Bob's name on the Name section of the 1040.”
May your multiple choice questions be identical to the ones that you excelled at in your studies.
