I just started chap 5 today… why do I think business law is harder than chap 1-4 tax? I'm retarded…

Hi! I just got the update for Becker and under the AMT exemption it is now giving me the following updated amounts:

For 2013, the exemption amounts are $80,800 for married filing jointly, $51,900 for single, and $40,400 for married filing separately. For 2013, the phase-out thresholds start at $153,900 for married filing jointly, $115,400 for single, and $76,950 for married filing separately.

I am wondering if the $80,800 should be replacing the $45,000 that it currently shows under R2-52 (B) and the $153,900 should replace $150,000? I am not understanding how to do my calculation, if anyone can help!

@lmendez2: holy crap I'm 100% sure you don't have to memorize those phase-out amounts for AMT.

@lbi18: all of my friends told me they got through chap 5-8 very quickly… no idea how they did that. I'm depressed. LOL

So I've been studying for Reg for about 2 weeks now FAITHFULLY ….minus the point that I can't seem to be able to stick to my Becker book…so boring and I feel my brain is not absorbing anything I read. I've since then been doing of all of the 10pt combo, read notes, went thru audio even the blitz been doing MCQ on Wiley test bank , rewrote the flashcards..will this be enough to pass REG ? Or should I get back into my Becker book ?

AHHHHH I need to get this done .. I get married in a few weeks and I just need motivation to get this exam knocked out of the park. HELP!!!

@k1zuna good luck today with Chapter 5! I am planning on finishing the chapter. I'm reviewing the contract/common law material now…it's not as bad as it seemed yesterday. Just all these little nuances. I didn't realize how important of a topic the beneficiary stuff was in regards to contracts since Becker didn't spend too much time on it. Oh well, time to dive in!
