Sometimes I really hate the Becker software, I just spent a half hour working through 4 SIMs and decide to go back to the first one to check something and all the information I entered is gone and all of the SIMs except 1. This is not the first time this has happened.

Oh man that's the worst… I'm reaching the point of saturation right now, just banging my head against the notes. Going to make sure I have a handful of more hints and mnemonics down before calling it a night… Only to wake up early and pound some multiple choice before the exam…

Good Luck for tomorrow everyone!

My head is super tired/saturated with information to the point i am confusing everything in Tax and also forgetting B-law concept…. Doing the last bit of SIM and then i am off to bed. Tomorrow I plan to do the SIM's on property trans since I am weak in it and then just read Jeff's notes one last time before the exam.

All I can say is

a) I want my brain to work tomorrow

b) God to answer my prayers 🙂

Hey guys, I'm leaving in an hour for my exam and I have two question:

Taxes and interest for Business and Rental properties…

In one becker question, state taxes for Business are deducted as itemized deductions where the employee was self-employed

Is that correct?

Hey guys, I am taking the test at the beginning of Oct. This is my second go around with REG. I have a question for you. I am using the Becker review material and have added the Ninja notes and Audio. There is such a difference between what each one says about Corp AMT calculations. What is the best way you have prepared for Corp AMT calculations?

Hi, just to the REG exam on Aug 31, somewhat frustrated. A lot of questions with the bases No AMT questions, But every exam is different right? The BEC material for AMT is pretty good. But the material for the different bases not so much & also did not have any info on Joint tenenats, deeds, etc. Wiley does. My Becker material is the 2012 version. REG is the last one I need to pass, even though I did not study as much for the others I was frustrated with what was on the exam. All me exams have focused on what is suppose to be low percentage material. Waiting for results & probably be retaking in October. Good Luck. Becker & Wiley study material with the Wiley test bank has been pretty good, except with REG, but it was probably my fault since Becker was week in property material. And did not take the time to read the Wiley material for this topic. The other 3 sections Becker was primary study material & for the weak areas I read Wiley. In FARE Gov Wiley helped a lot.

Hi, I also tried to study to much last hour material & got confused in taxes & the bases problems. I would have done better if I had been relaxing at the beach the day before the exam. I will probably end up retaking in October & instead of a nice vacation in September & celebrating I'll be retaking REG. I can not believe how hard taxes has been for me, the different bases when distributing property with mortgages, Joint tenants, AMT. Very frustrated because I know this material is easier then what I took in the other 3 parts. Good look, hopefully when confused in the exam, we guesed the right one.
